Arun Tour Guide Interpreter Service (ATIS) is a paid service provided by Arun Co. LLC established in 2023 April in Ishigaki. The guide service is carefully conducted by trained tour-guide interpreters. English tour-guide is offered by YASUYUKI HAZAMA who is the co-founder and the chief director of Arun Co. LLC. Main customers will be land operators, tour agencies, hotel owners or managers, and private tourists. About the company - Arun Co. LLC
For more than 20 years, YASUYUKI has been involved in various fields of work as a city hall employee in his hometown, Ishigaki Island. After working for many years in the fields of urban planning, promotion of local products, promotion of agriculture, international exchange, and tourism, he retired in the spring of 2023 and established the companry with his Thai wife, Chachai Mekala.
Having loved English since he was a junior high school student, he obtained a license as an English interpreter-guide. So, it was quite natural for him to start a new activity utilizing both privious job experience and English ability.
Yasuyuki's dream
Yasuyuki's birthplace, Ishigaki Island, is a popular tourist destination not only for Japanese tourists but also for foreign tourists. His dream is that the nature and culture of Ishigaki Island will be passed down for generations, and that the tourism industry, which is a leading industry, will develop better. From now on, Yasuyuki hopes that his dream will come true through his company's activities, not as a city hall employee.
